How to hide variant images until selected?

Hello!

I’m using the new updated Dawn 13 Theme. I want the product page to show the main image instead of the color variant. Is there a way to change this?

I tried the code in the video but it does not work on Dawn 14.0.0. The featured image is successfully displayed on the product page but the variant image doesn’t show after selected. Is there another way to do the same thing? Thank you.
