Hello, I am seeing an insurance adjuster today and they are asking me for the value of our inventory. I see that in reports I can get the total value based on cost, but I can’t find how to get it based on sales price. Need help ASAP!
Hi there,
Shopify does not have a way to see the value based on sales price.
Our Report Toaster app can help. We have a report named Inventory Value which shows the value by cost and by price. This report is available in our free version. Please feel free to take a look and let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!
Julia from Mipler: Advanced Custom Reports is here.
With our application, you are able to get a report with the total value based on the sales price. You can also select any time period for any of your reports and have them automatically sent directly to the supplier’s email.
I highly recommend that you install the Advanced Custom Reports application and start your free 7-day trial.
Please feel free to contact me, I will be happy to help you.
Hey,
I know this is an old post, but retail value was something I’ve been looking for for ages and I’m honesty annoyed by all of the “you need an app for this and that”.
As far as I can tell, you CAN do this without an app. When you visit your product selection, at the top, you’ll see the ABC product analysis. Clicking on it will take you to the full report. The default is likely the at-cost reporting but in the report it takes you to, it’ll show three different sections. (Ending inventory units, ending inventory value (at-cost), and what I’m assuming you’re looking for, the third is ending inventory retail value).
If you want to see the breakdown of the products, on the sidebar there is also a column called ‘Dimensions’. You’ll be able to see the breakdown via product title/SKU, whatever your preference is. Keep in my these reports include archived products as well so if you don’t want these tracked, make sure to go into the individual product postings to mark them as not tracked.
I hope this helps anyone in the future ![]()
