When customer purchase either the 3 pack/5pack variant or the 7 pack Combo, the inventory should be reflected at the base product not at the lower level. This is not happening. The inventory is reflected at each variant level and each combo level.
For example, lets say I have 100 packs in inventory at base level. Someone orders 5 pack variant, then the inventory at base product should show an adjustment history for that order. Instead it shows a adjustment history at the variant (5 pack level).
All products have track order quantities checked. Do I disable that at the variants and only keep it at the
We’ve developed Fusion Inventory to solve the exact problem that you are describing. Please install it and take a look at our user guide for how it works and setup instructions.
Create a Base Product: Set up a Base product (as a Draft) to track your inventory in single pack units.
Set Up Bundle Groups:Use the app to create a Bundle group that links your Base product to various pack products/variants. For example, you can create a group that connects the Base product with the 2 Packs product, where:
Master Product: 2 Packs product
Component Product: Base product, with a Quantity per bundle set to 2
Automatic Adjustments:
The quantity of the Master product (2 Packs) will be automatically calculated based on the quantity of the Base product.
When the 2 Packs product is purchased, the quantity of the Base product will be reduced by 2.
When the quantity of the Base product changes (due to other packs being bought), the quantity of the 2 Packs product will be updated accordingly.
You’ll need to set up each Bundle group to establish the inventory connection between each pack product and the Base product.
