How to improve CLS score of 1 on Turbo Theme 8.1?

Been using the Turbo theme on our store and have been noticing that the CLS score is at 1 out of the box for the product page. Understand that the issue is due to the Announcement Banner which Turbo terms as “Promo Banner”, but haven’t been able to fix the issue.

Contacted Out of the Sandbox, but shockingly they do not have a fix and are not even willing to commit a timeline for fix in future updates. For a premium theme this is ridiculous - the CLS is at 1 even when no apps are added, surprised most recommendations by experts feature Turbo at the very top.

Even when the Announcement Bar is disabled the CLS remains at the same level. Have tried multiple other adjustments but can’t seem to get a solution. Can somebody help?

I can share a general sort of guide, however,it requires coding skills as I can’t reference the exact lines of code you need to edit as a step by step
