@jamessun hey there, for your page speed the apps you should be removing really depends on context and how well they are performing for your particular store which would determine how essential they actually are. Basically, only you can really decide on that because we aren’t privy to such details but anything not adding positively to your conversion rate can be removed for the greater good of store speed and efficiency.

Some of the best Shopify apps for boosting sales are Klaviyo, a solid bundling app (feel free to check out the one in my profile :head_shaking_horizontally:), judge.me reviews, smile: loyalty rewards app, etc

Hi , @jamessun
Congrats on launching your store - that’s a great start. I’ll go through each of your points and share a few practical things that usually help early on

  1. SEO
Focus on specific keywords like “custom flags UK” or “personalised football flags”. Use them naturally in your titles, descriptions, and product pages. Also, write unique product descriptions - that help more than anything.
  2. Page Speed
Compress images (WebP if possible) and remove any unused apps. Large images and extra apps are usually the main reason for slow stores.
  3. Conversions
Make your product pages stronger: Include reviews or trust elements to build confidence.
  4. Reduce cart abandonment
Keep checkout simple and avoid too many steps

Overall, focus on clear product pages + trust first - that’s what improves sales early on.
If you still face speed issues after optimizing images and removing apps, you could explore optimization app available like Website Speedy .
Hope this helps!

Hi @jamessun

1. SEO Issues & Fix

  • Missing H1 on homepage (very critical)
  • Too many duplicate H2/H3 headings
  • Heading structure is not properly organized (bad for Google)

Fix:

  • Use only 1 H1 - “Custom Flags UK – Design Your Own Flag”
  • Use:
    • H2 → Sections (Best Sellers, Categories)
    • H3 → Products
  • Remove duplicate headings (same product repeated twice)

Keywords:

  • Focus on:
    • “Custom Flags UK”
    • “Personalised Flags UK”
    • “Football Flags UK”

Meta:

  • Title: Custom Flags UK | Design Your Own Flag – Final Third Flags
  • Description: Create custom football flags, personalised designs & more. Fast UK delivery. Design your own flag today.

2. Page Speed (Very Important

  • Mobile score 47 = poor
  • Issue:
    • High LCP (5.7s)
    • High JS blocking (880ms)

Fix:

  • Compress images (use WebP)
  • Reduce apps (remove unused apps)
  • Lazy load images
  • Avoid heavy sliders / animations
  • Use fewer homepage sections

3. Sales & Conversion

  • Missing:
    • Sticky Add to Cart
    • Trust badges
    • Clear shipping info

Add:

  • Reviews on product & homepage
  • “Free UK Shipping over £X”
  • Urgency: “Order today, shipped in 24h”
  • Product benefits (material, durability, size)

Improve product page:

  • Add real-life images (flags in stadiums)
  • Show customization preview clearly

4. Reduce Cart Abandonment

  • Add:
    • Exit popup (discount)
    • Trust badges (secure payment)
    • Faster checkout (Shop Pay / Apple Pay)
  • Show delivery time clearly

5. Social Media Growth

  • Post:
    • Customer flags (UGC content)
    • Football fan content :soccer_ball:
    • Before/after custom designs

Strategy:

  • Run Instagram Reels + TikTok
  • Use football-related hashtags
  • Collaborate with fan pages / micro influencers

6. Extra Improvements
