How to improve the loading speed of my Impulse Theme Hero Image?

Hi, just looking for a quick solution please.

I’ve just updated my theme to Impulse - very happy with how the website is looking apart from the hero image - which is quite important really.

I’m not using a slideshow, just a single image, which is clickable.

My issue is it seems to take a long time to load, and there’s just this black space with a bar pulsating on it.

Any feedback on how I can have the image load better? I’m open to changing it to a simple image rather than a slideshow, and I have some code to create a simple image section, but I don’t have the code to add a link to the image.

Don’t use the Slider if you want to make fast loading,

Use banner Image section instead of it.

Thanks, it’s not an option on Impulse.

You can add this option by Custom code.
