I would like to get a recommendation for an app that expands the amount of variants, but still does not burden the website if there is such a thing, as far as I understand, as soon as an external app interferes with the amount of variants, it affects the speed of the website.

As per my understanding, If you are looking to surpass the product variant limit, recently Shopify has increased the limit of variant creation. Now it is not restricted to 100 variants.

I couldn’t get past the 100 variants and it’s frustrating, since all I
need is a larger amount of variants and I have all the other features that
the app offers in the theme, it doesn’t seem reasonable to me to pay a
monthly fee just for such a feature And if there is a way to pass the
amount of variants through Shopify I would like to know how, if there is no
way I would like to hear about a free app if you know any.

Thank you for your response. I own a men’s clothing store and the variety
of clothing is large, this includes suits and elegant clothing, jeans of
various types and prices, underwear and more. We also sell large sizes and
there are products whose starting size is M and ending size is 10XL, of
course the price changes when you go up to the large sizes. So, when I have
a variant of 12 sizes, for example, and the same product has 10 colors, it
is impossible to include all the colors and sizes in the same product, and
I do not want to split the same product into large and regular sizes or,
for example, into colors of the same product that will appear separately,
as many stores do out of constraints .
At this moment I tried to add more colors to the product that previously I
received a comment that the limit of variants is 100, since one of the
responses I received was that Shopify made a change and it is possible to
add more than 100, but despite this I received the same message again.
I don’t currently need additional features since I get them through the
theme, so the matter of the amount of variants is very significant for me.
Is it possible that there really is a way to increase the amount of
variants through the Shopify and not through an external app? Maybe there
is some kind of update of Shopify and I missed something? As far as I
understand, system updates are done automatically. Please correct me if I’m

Well, it’s over 9 months later and still no movement on the 2,000 options we were promised last January.
