How to integrate Amazon FBM with your online store?

Hi, I just added the amazon sales channel. I have made sales on amazon (FBM) and went into amazon seller central to fulfill the order and buy the shipping label. Order is fulfilled on amazon seller central. However, in Shopify it still says unfulfilled. I had to manually click fulfill in Shopify and am unsure if this changed my inventory number. How is everyone fulfilling when linked and are you having the same issue? Thank you!

It seems that lots of people face the same problem with you that when they connect the FMB and Shopify, their Shopify orders just stopped being fulfilled by FBA. All orders were sent over to FBA from Shopify but can’t be located in Amazon and they are in a “pending” state in Shopify admin. Nobody has found a proper solution yet because they can’t even know if the API with Shopify and FBA is working or not. Shopify responded to this issue by mentioning using third-party fulfillment services in your Shopify shop. Hope that you can find a solution to your problem here. Hw, in the long-term, I suggest that you should have a third-party solution for integrating your Shopify and Amazon to automate the process and avoid such issues.

I have opposite situation- customer placed FBM order on Amazon and it shows in shopify order tab as fulfilled and also in Amazon as shipped. I never clicked on Amazon to ship the order/get shipping label and item was never shipped phisically.

So my questions are:

  • why shopify gets info about Amazon FBM order?

  • why is it marked as fullfilled in shopify and as shipped in Amazon if nobody “touched” this order?

Can anyone help and explain how to fix it? My idea is to list product on Amazon as FBM and ship from 3pl warehouse. I don’t see the reason why Amazon order shows up in Shopify…
