We are working on integrating Shop Pay into our existing checkout flow. But the API docs which I found is this https://shopify.dev/docs/api/shop-pay-wallet/reference .
But this doc is not very clear. We are trying to use shop pay as a payment method.
Hello Borderfree,
I think you want to use shop pay in your store for customer easily pay using shop pay am I right?
For this you do not need to work with API, you just need to with settings.
I have mentioned below some points, you can proper this
-
Make sure your store is eligible: To be eligible for Shop Pay, your store must be on the Shopify platform, based in the United States, and meet certain eligibility criteria related to your store’s policies, products, and shipping settings.
-
Enable Shop Pay in your Shopify admin: To enable Shop Pay for your store, log in to your Shopify admin and navigate to the Payments section in your Settings. Under Alternative Payments, click the Manage button next to Shop Pay and enable the option to accept Shop Pay.
-
Customize your Shop Pay settings: Once you have enabled Shop Pay, you can customize the settings for how it appears on your store’s checkout page. You can choose to show or hide the Shop Pay button, customize the button’s text, and enable or disable pre-checkout upsells.
-
Test Shop Pay: Before launching Shop Pay on your store, it’s important to test it in a sandbox environment to ensure everything is working correctly. You can use Shopify’s test mode to simulate a customer checkout using Shop Pay.
-
Launch Shop Pay: Once you have tested Shop Pay and are confident everything is working correctly, you can launch it on your store. Customers will then be able to use Shop Pay as a payment method during checkout.
It’s worth noting that Shopify Shop Pay is a feature that is managed by Shopify, and there is no need to integrate it separately. If you are eligible for Shop Pay, you can simply enable it in your Shopify admin and customize the settings to meet your store’s needs.
Actually, we don’t use Shopify online store, we have our own checkout but we need to use shop as a payment method, so I need API’s for the same.
Hi @borderfree !Thank you for reaching out.
Shop Pay is an accelerated payment gateway built into Shopify Payments, so to enable it, your store needs to be eligible for Shopify Payments gateway. Then to manage your Shopify Payments settings. Feel free to follow the guide below to add Shop Pay to your checkout.
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.
- Click Manage beside Shopify Payments.
- Scroll down to the Shop Pay section.
- Click the checkbox to the left of the Shop Pay logo.
- Click Save.
Besides Shop Pay, there are other accelerated payment gateways you can integrate into your store. A few of them are Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and Apple Pay. If you haven’t considered adding these, you may want to look into doing so to further diversify the payment methods in your store. Having additional payment methods offer customers the flexibility to opt for their payment method of choice, making the checkout process friendlier. If you want to learn more about these accelerated payment gateways, you can read about them on this page.
Thank you for your response @Iris @Surbhi106 , But the thing I want to do is integrate shop pay on my app checkout.
To give more context let’s say I have published an app on the Shopify store and then customers come to that app and purchase something then my checkout is shown to them and as users fill in some details then I keep calling Shopify admin APIs, so now I want shop pay as a payment method (which means either user can select card or bank or shop pay) in my checkout.
So, is this achievable currently?
I am currently in the same situation. Have you resolved it?
