How to limit monthly purchases for specific users?

Hi All,

I am managing a store exclusively for employees of my client.

  1. Is there any solution to limit on monthly buying of each registered buyer? Like we want to limit so that the employees can’t buy more than “X” Amount of products from the store.

  2. This store is restricted for X.com domain users only but recently we found some gmail I’ds users registered in our customer list which is not possible as we have the restriction on, Is it possible that some external factor can compromise the database and add them as a customer?
    Or maybe we are suspecting that someone from admin access did that.

Any solution will be a great help.

Locking unauthorized customers out: You can’t lock out unauthorized customers from certain parts of your store, like products, collections, and navigation items, with Shopify.

You can set up a lifetime limit for individual products and set days of timeframe or lifetime in which customers can’t buy those products.

Hi @taronaggarwal,

I noticed your question about employee store limits. In DC Order Limits, you can use customer purchase limits to cap how much each employee buys per month by tracking purchases per customer across orders.

Setup:

  1. Create a customer purchase limit rule

  2. Set a max quantity or spending limit

  3. Apply it to all products or only the items you want to restrict

  4. Use Shopify Flow to reset the tracked purchase history at the start of each month

That way, the cap applies across orders during the month, then it starts fresh automatically.
