How to link product variants so that if one variant is sold out, all variants are "sold out"

Hello,

I’m trying to set up my one-of-a-kind products so that when one product variant is sold out, it automatically makes all variants of that product sold out as well.

I have one-of-a-kind products that can include an accessory if selected. I use variants for this:

variant 1) product w/o accessory.

variant 2) product with accessory.

The problem is that when I sell either variant, the unique product is sold out and I can’t sell the other variant. So, I need all variant to show “sold out” when any variant is sold out.

Any help would be appreciated!

It’s not possible to do that automatically, with the built-in settings. Your only option would be to manually adjust the inventory for the other variants, once the first one is sold out … or else use an app from the Shopify app store to achieve this functionality.
