Im trying to make a product for my site but I’m unsure as to how to do it. I want to make a sampler pack. So customers can choose any three of our coffee flavors to bundle together to make a sampler pack. But I’m unsure as to how to list it. I have too many variants for a single listing and too many for the BUNDLES application. Is there any way to get around this issue? I have 9 flavors if that helps.

You can consider the AOV Bundle Upsell app to create a sampler pack. It allows you to bundle multiple items into one product. As a result, customers can select any three flavors, and the app will handle combining them as a single product. Since bundles created with the app are native Shopify products, there’s a limitation: each product can have only 3 options, with a maximum of 100 variants. If your needs fit within this 3-option limit, the app can facilitate this setup for your store.

We understand your requirements, and I have an alternative solution in mind that may be beneficial in your case. Instead of creating sample packs where customers choose three different coffees from 9 flavors, consider creating a sample pack as a subscription product.
The advantage of this approach is that your customers would be able to sample all 9 coffee flavors over 3 deliveries. As they sample each flavor, they can decide which ones they truly like and would want to continue purchasing.
One potential drawback with a regular sample pack is that, as new customers, they may not be familiar with any of the flavors. The choices they make may not be informed but rather random selections. A subscription-based sample pack would be a more effective approach: with 3 sample packs delivered over 3 installments, all 9 flavors can be sent to the customer in subsequent deliveries. This way, they get a comprehensive taste of each option and can make an informed decision on their favorite coffee flavors.
We have an app called Profit Bundles & Mystery Boxes, which is currently used by many coffee brands to set up similar subscription models. With this app, you could create a mystery box product as your sample pack on a subscription basis. When creating the mystery box, you can add all 9 flavors to the product pool, allowing the app to pick 3 random flavors per delivery. The app can also ensure that each subsequent delivery includes a unique set of coffees.
Additionally, this approach would allow you to start subscriptions like “Roaster’s Choice Coffee” or “Dark Roast coffee” options.

The Easify Product Options app is perfect for creating customizable bundle options for your coffee flavors. With various display types available, you can showcase your flavors using the Image Swatch option type (or Checkbox, Product List) for a more visually appealing presentation. You can enable multiselection and set a maximum of 3 selections.
If you’d like to allow customers to select the same flavor multiple times (up to a total of 3 selections), you can enable the quantity selector for each flavor.
