How to list single stock item with multiple variants on an ecommerce platform?

Hello im in the middle of migrating my store from wix to shopify and im having problems with listing the correct quantities.

I make handmade items so most of the time i only have 1 item in stock. However the customer chooses from mulitple options on how they like the product to be finished.

How do i list 1 of the item in stock without selecting 1 in stock for each varient ? I have 4 options on each item so at the moment it says i have 4 items in stock when its in fact just 1.

I would really appricated any feedback.

So this is technically not what Shopify’s logic offers you to do. The Variant is the actual physical good (SKU if you will) that has to have a stock value. If it does not and you selected to stop selling if stock is out then in will not display on the frontend as available but the other 3 will.

What you want to do is to have a product with 1 SKU (not 4) with a customizable option. There are apps for that but I don’t know which one is the best one for you.
