The logo is set to the largest that shoppify allows and I tried making a new bigger image but every time I try to upload it says that there’s an error uploading the file. Could someone please provide a code to make the image the same size as the one on my homepage for desktop and mobile?

As a Shopify basic user, the only way for you to customize the logo is through the theme editor.
Only Shopify Plus stores can customize the checkout page.
