How to make custom color swatches show by adding them to files?

I know how to add custom color swatches by adding the swatch .png to the theme Assets, but does anyone know how to make the custom swatch show by adding the swatch .png to Shopify Files? I know it can be done (a site I no longer have access to added swatches this way) but simply adding the file isn’t working.

Is there some code needed to tell the theme where to look for the file? Please help!! Thanks!!

Theme is Turbo if that makes a difference

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the site is still in development and I
can’t share a link. I’m adding the swatches via Assets in the theme code
for now but would like to know how to add to Files so the client doesn’t
need to do anything in the code in the future.

Any info you can provide without the link would be appreciated.

You don’t need to upload any image. You can update the color hex code and that will also work.
