How to make date range a mandatory field in Dawn 2.0 theme?

Hi, Im running Dawn 2.0 theme and I need customers to enter in a date range for a personalised product. They automatically enter in the name, but miss the second box for the date range.

Is there an option that I can do to get this to be a mandatory field for them to enter? Thankyou
