How to make drawer parent menu link clickable on mobile? Dawn Theme

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to fix my drawer parent menu, I have applied some fixes I saw here in the forum, but nothing works. Some of those fixes are from 2022-2024 maybe the reason why they are’nt working.
Does someone know the updated fix for this

If you make it work on mobile, visitors will never see the sub-menu.

Hi @Dan-From-Ryviu ! the sub-menu is not showing when click either, so my last resort is to just make the parent link clickable, but if there’s a way to show the sub-menu then it is better.

Did you add code to make the parent menu clickable?

@Dan-From-Ryviu I added a code to show the sub-menu on hover and have the parent to be clickable, but it only works on the desktop interface. My problem is on the mobile interface, the button when clicked is not showing the sub-menus or even go to the landing page of the parent menu.

Could you share the code you added to open the menu when hovering? I guess that code caused the issue that it won’t appear when clicking on mobile.

Hi [email removed] , this is the code that I added to the header-dropdown-menu.liquid
this code is what I use:

<span {%- if link.child_active %} class=“header__active-menu-item”{% endif %}>{{ link.title | escape }}

to replace this code “{{- link.title | escape -}}” in: this line "

    {%- for link in section.settings.menu.links -%}
  • {%- if link.links != blank -%}
    {{- link.title | escape -}}.
