By following this guide you can create drop down menus just like in your example. However, to allow menu to unfold when you hover over the main item, you will need to edit some theme code.
I found this unofficial video tutorial that shows this process step by step. Keep in mind that this tutorial is third party, and it may not be up-to-date with current theme versions, but the general logic remain the same. Before you customize a theme, it’s a good idea to make a backup copy so that you can discard your changes and start again if you need to.
