A merchant is seeking a way to automatically remove VAT (set tax to 0%) for orders shipped to BFPO (British Forces Post Office) addresses. They have already configured custom shipping rules for BFPO deliveries but cannot determine how to automate the tax exemption.

Shopify support indicated this functionality is only available in Shopify Plus. The merchant cannot justify upgrading solely for this feature, so both the original poster and a subsequent user continue processing BFPO tax exemptions manually. The issue remains unresolved for standard Shopify plan users.
hi there, has anyone any experience making products tax free when a customer specifies they want their order delivering to a BFPO address please?
I’ve got a custom shipping rule set up to charge the customer appropriately, and i’d like all products from our web site to be shipped to a BFPO address, but the VAT must be removed and set to 0% and i cannot fathom out how to set this up

Hi there, Shopify told me this features in Shopify Plus, so having to do manually as cannot justify the upgrade purely for this feature
