How to manage shipping details as a home-based business without disclosing address?

I absolutely understand your privacy concerns. I just wanted to clarify that when you input your shipping details into your store admin, that is not displayed publicly. The reason we ask for that address internally is two-fold:

  1. For ID verification purposes
  2. In case you as a merchant choose Carrier Calculated Shipping or Shopify Shipping, in which case the costs will need to be calculated against the shipping origin address.

This is not shown to your customers and is highly safeguarded and protected by Shopify’s data protection measures and our fantastic account security protocols.
