Goal: Modify the Shopify Spotlight theme so clicking a product card expands an inline “drop-down” product detail panel on the collection page, instead of navigating to a separate product page.
Current behavior: Product cards link out to dedicated product pages.
Desired behavior: In-page expansion of the selected product’s details (similar to an accordion/inline reveal) to mirror the referenced site’s interaction shown in the images.
Context/terms: “Product card” = the product tile in the collection/grid; “drop-down” = an inline expandable section that reveals product details without leaving the page.
Assets: Two screenshots are provided as the primary reference for the intended layout and interaction; images are central to understanding the request.

I am using the spotlight theme on shopify and I would like to modify the display of product pages to have them “drop down” upon clicking the product card (if that makes sense).
Currently when you click a product card it take you to a separate product page.
