We have an international store, and I’d like to offer our customers gift cards in multiple currencies.
I understand “Shopify does not allow for the creation of gift cards in a currency that is not the store’s default. A customer who buys a gift card in a non-default currency will receive a gift card of the equivalent value in the store’s default currency at the time of purchase.”
Does anyone know of an app that would facilitate a multi-currency gift card? i.e. if a customer in the UK wants a GBP100 card they get a GBP100; a customer in the US gets a USD$100 gift card; a customer in Australian gets AUD$100 etc etc etc.??

I’m guessing you haven’t found a solution to this, since the apps listed in the response don’t support true multi-currency gift cards.
Good news is that the Givy app has finally solved this!
Here’s the customer experience:
They see gift card denominations in their selected currency (ie. $100USD for US, €100EUR for Europe)
They pay in the currency they selected
All notifications are sent using the currency they selected
The ‘check balance’ page shows the balance in their currency
The gift card’s balance gets updated every hour based on currency conversions
The customer spends the gift card in the currency they selected, and never lose any value
It’s a great way to actually offer gift cards in multiple currencies while still dealing with Shopify’s limitation that all cards on your store are created in the default currency.
