We have a warehouse location set up on shopify as our HQ and we only ship online orders from here. We also have a shop at another location with its own Shopify ‘warehouse’ to track stock.
The problem is, I dont want the stock already at the Shop to be available online for online orders. Only the stock at the HQ warehouse should be showing online.
Am I missing something simple in my set up? No click & collect & no local delivery available. I’ve selected settings for online orders to only be fulfilled from HQ warehouse but if I enter stock into the Shop’s allocation, it still shows up online if the HQ has sold out. At this point the last of the available stock is for the shop.
If I enter a stock quantity into the Shop of 0 and the shop sells the product into the negatives, the new total stock amount may remove the product availability on the website (eg Shop -7 and HQ 5 means the website will make the product unavailable now it is -2 quantity but in reality, we had 13 available and sold 7 with 5 remaining at HQ which can be available for online orders or we can transfer stock to the Shop as replenishments)
We have hundreds of product lines, all are seasonally available, we sell plants and the Shop is a key channel for us to shift plants that are too large to ship, once a plant gets too large to fit into a carton for online orders our shop is key in clearing space at the HQ nursery
