Our store is approaching 3.000 SKU’s and to guide customers to the correct product, we’re using metafields to help with filtering.
However, we have now come to the point that on one of the filters we’ve reached the maximum of 128 elements per metafield.
The error message reads: Validations value for option choices has more than 128 elements.
I already spoke to Shopify but they couldn’t tell me if that limit could be raised. Anybody else had a similar problem or know of any useful 3rd party apps?
You can do two things. If you want to stay with shopify native then use metaobjects and want third party solutions then there some apps like searchanise , Boost Product Filter & Search etc..
For one particular filter we’ve transferred everything to metaobjects, but to use it as product filter we’re running into the same problem. It’s actually 100 and not 128 elements per filter.
Is there a way to make products filters condition to each other, like when the customer selects in the first filter ‘option A’ then it would only display the related options in the second filter - reducing the number of options to less than 100 elements per filter.
