Hi. I am trying to purchase a theme for a client, but the buy button takes me to billing where I am required to “ADD” my credit card details.
I was expecting it to just take me to a one time purchase page or something similar. Is there a way to just purchase the theme without adding my credit card details?
I am worried that Shopify will store the details and charge my card for future invoices which I do not want as this is not for me but for a client.
If I have no choice but to “ADD” my card details, is there an option to delete the card completely afterwards.

Are you creating the store for your client as a development store? If so, the recommended way to go about this as per the Transferring development stores to clients Help Doc is dependent on whether or not you will be customizing the code for your client. If no customization will be done, then it’s possible to leave the theme as a trial, and your client will purchase it using their own billing information once you’ve transferred ownership to them, and they are ready to publish the theme.
However, if you are needing to purchase it so that you can customize the code for them, then you can enter your billing details, purchase it on their behalf, and invoice them for the payment. Once you transfer ownership of the development store to your client, your credit card (or PayPal account) is automatically removed from the store’s billing settings so you will not be charged for future invoices.
