Essentially, I’m looking to re-order the actual options - not the sections themselves on the site.
Right now, I’m editing a theme to add a few custom sections and I’d like them to appear higher than others in the list as they are used more frequently. I don’t want to outright delete/hide the less used sections but would prefer they appear in order of usability.
Can anyone advise?

Can you offer a bit more detail than just a 20 minute video?
I’m scanning through it and I don’t really see an answer to my question. Perhaps you can specify which part I should be looking at?

Hi Ketan,
I am not asking to reorder the sections within a page.
I want to reorder the sections within the list of options.
i.e. if I click “Add section” instead of the order being:
- Featured Brands
- Blog Posts
- Collection Callout
As in the image I’ve shown, it would be whatever I want, e.g.
- Blog Posts
- Featured Brands
- Collection Callout
Meaning that, when editing in future, I can prioritise the sections that I use often and relegate others to the bottom of the list to speed up page building.

Hi @kwameandco -
I’m trying to do the same thing and so far have not found the solution. Were you ever able to figure out how to reorder section options in the theme customizer “Add section” list? Thanks!
I’m afraid not. It seems like such a useful thing that it’s a shame it’s been left as an oversight!
