How to recover DNS records from a basic Shopify account?

Hi,

To connect your domain to Shopify, please read the Shopify Help article below (for automatic setup).

If you want to connect manually, please follow the steps below.

  1. Go to GoDaddy Domain Control Center at

https://sso.godaddy.com/login?app=dcc&path=%2fdomains%3fshowAdvanceListView%3dtrue&auth_reason=1

Add A Record & CNAME

They are located on different pages in GoDaddy (Find a correct page to add or modify the record).

Add A Record [email removed] 23.227.38.65

Add CNAME [email removed] shops.myshopify.com

You may need to use the [email removed] symbol or not (follow the instruction on GoDaddy)

You don’t have to enter any other information.

After you entered (add or modify) the records on GoDaddy, go back to Shopify Admin > Settings > Domain

Then verify your domain.

You should be connected.

However, if you got any errors or warnings, your records on GoDaddy is not correct.

You can modify the records (A Record & CNAME) at any time on GoDaddy. So, don’t worry and try it until it works.
