looking to use Banner instead of a logo image but when i take out the logo image the logo text appear instead

The checkout page is managed by Shopify, so you can only hide it when using Shopify plus.
You can upload the logo image and choose the left position for it, it will display somewhat well:

I did the same as suggested but the company name is still visible.

Not sure if you are still having issues with this but an easy fix I found is to create a blank transparent image and upload it as your logo on the checkout page. This worked for me so I can have my banner show without logo or text. Hope this helps.

I dont have a screenshot to attach because it is just a blank transparent image. To go in more detail of what I mean. Take a picture of something that is just pure white and use an app that allows you to do background remover making the image transparent meaning it will be completely blank with no color and no text. Save it to your files and upload it as your logo. It will upload a blank and transparent image so essentially nothing will be showing there. Hope this helps.
