How to remove double cart icon and random 1 in Dawn theme code?

Hi,

I’m using the dawn theme and realized these two issues occur when messing with some customization code and can’t figure out how to remove these.

When a user adds an item to the cart, the word/icon for cart will show twice. There’s also a random number 1 on the far left side of the page.

Any suggestions?
