How to remove .myshopify.com and get SSL certification for my domain?

Hello,

My site is hosted with Shopify, I own a domain name that I have added to my online store. The domain I want to be using has SSL pending for the last 3 weeks. The company that sells Icelandic domain names (.is) does not offer any technical assistance and I was told by a friend that he simply contacted Shopify Help to certify the domain.

I am ready to launch my site, but want to launch it without the .myshopify.com part, and have the domain I own instead.

How can I get the SSL certification?

Your domain is hosted with another registrar and not shopify right?

Connect your domain with shopify, Shopify itself will add SSL to your site.

Thanks for bringing this up to us. This can happen from certain domain hosts from time to time, however, SSL certs are provided by Shopify for free once you connect your domain.

If you could check our guide here for connecting your domain here. Once done an SSL cert would then be assigned and allow anyone to access your store with that new domain. It will also be set to your primary domain so the .myshopify.com domain will not be shown.

I have already connected my domain, unfortunately the SSL certification has been pending for more than 3 weeks

The site is hosted with Shopify, third party domain name already connected for quite some time but SSL is still pending

Thanks for following up! If this is the case we can help with this more than likely. The next best steps would be to reach out to our team who can authenticate your details, from there we can check and push the SSL certs manually.
