Same problem for me… It isn’t possible to remove the button from the cart page.. Express paypal will always be present. Can i have some help?

if you want to remove express button from cart page then it must work: Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit code Sections->cart-template.liquid OR template->cart.liquid → find bellow and hide or remove this whole condition. {% if additional_checkout_buttons %}

I did figure out the issue with the store I was working on. For the solution to work, you must have additional_checkout_buttons in the cart template.
