How to remove price and "in stock" from Google search results

Topic summary

Store owners are seeking ways to remove pricing and stock availability information from Google search results for their Shopify stores.

Primary concern: Products requiring quote requests (rather than direct purchase) display prices and “In Stock” labels in Google search snippets, creating customer confusion.

Additional issues reported:

  • Inventory discrepancies between physical stores and websites causing inaccurate stock displays
  • Incorrect shipping costs appearing in search results (e.g., $3.99 when not offered)

Proposed solutions:

  • One user successfully resolved the issue by removing an inactive ‘Google Store’ integration from Shopify, though Google re-indexing took time
  • GemPages support suggested using Shopify’s “Hide Out of Stock Items” feature, though this addresses inventory visibility rather than removing structured data from search results

Current status: The discussion remains largely unresolved, with multiple users expressing frustration that Shopify hasn’t adequately addressed this structured data control issue. The core challenge involves managing schema markup that Google automatically extracts and displays.

Hello,

I’m trying to figure out to to remove the price and “In Stock” label from google search results. Here is an example:

The reason for removing this, is that some products on our store require the user to fill out a “Request a Quote” form, instead of being able to purchase directly online. I’d like to hide this information from the Google search engine results.

Here is a link to our store: http://store.clearpathrobotics.com

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Chris

Hello, I am having this same issue. Does anyone know how to remove this?

We do not have a connected inventory with our brick and mortar store and website, so customers are seeing items are showing in stock on Google searches, even though they might not be in stock

We are also having this problem. I wish Shopify would actually address it.

Managed to fix this by removing our inactive ‘Google Store’ from Shopify. It took a while for all products to be changed as google has to re-index the website - hope this helps someone as I searched for ages looking for answers.

Did you find a way to hide the stock and price in google search?

Can you explain me this in detail, I didn’t get how to remove inactive ‘Google Store’ ’ from Shopify

Hello @cjbogdon

I would like to give you the recommendation to support you.

You can control the visibility of your store products using the “Hide Out of Stock Items” option, which utilizes the default Shopify out-of-stock inventory model. You can visit the URL https://shopify-v2.sparq.ai/theme/general/ and update the setting as shown in the following screenshot : https://prnt.sc/0lOj-3sKmPyn

Once enabled, it will hide items for which Shopify reports out-of-stock quantity.

I hope the above is useful to you.
Best regards,
GemPages Support Team

Has anyone found a answer to this? Our site is now saying we have $3.99 shipping which we have never had
