I wanted to disable the primary market because shopify will only ship to the primary market, i wanted to ship internationally. Please help
Hi, @OmgLYJ !
Welcome to Shopify Community.
Thank you so much for sharing your question with our network. I’d be glad to support you with this today. The primary market is the region where you operate your business and likely most sales occur - also known as your domestic market determined by the information in your Settings > Store details.
Then, you will set up your international market - these are regions you choose to sell to. In order to offer shipping for additional zones, you will first have to establish a market there like so:
Steps:1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Markets.
-
Click Add Market.
-
Enter a Market name. This name helps you identify the market within your Shopify admin, and isn’t displayed to customers.
-
Click Add countries/regions.
-
Add the countries and regions that you want to include in this market.
-
Click Done, and then Save.
After activating the market/s, set up any applicable shipping zones to make them visible upon checkout:
-
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery.
-
Next to the shipping profile where you want to add a shipping zone, click Manage.
-
Next to the group of locations where you want to add a shipping zone, click Create zone.
-
Enter a name for the shipping zone.
-
Select the countries and regions that you want to be in the zone.
-
Click Done.
-
Add any rates that you want for the zone, and then click Save.
Voila! That should address your concerns and also offer a curated experience for your customers. Let me know if you still have questions or comments.
Warm regards,
