How to remove the Ç error in Shopify's capitalized texts

Topic summary

A user is experiencing a display issue where the capital letter “Ç” (C-cedilla) does not render correctly in Shopify’s Rich Text sections—specifically in titles and captions. Instead of displaying properly, it shows as an error or incorrect character on the live website.

Attempted Solutions:

  • The user initially posted in Portuguese but received no responses
  • They need the letter capitalized for proper formatting but are encountering rendering problems

Proposed Solution:

  • A PageFly representative suggests the issue stems from the selected font not supporting the capital Ç character
  • Recommendation: Switch to a different font that includes proper support for this special character

The discussion remains focused on this font compatibility issue, with the solution being a font change rather than a code fix.

I sent this same question to the community in Portuguese, but people didn’t answer me, so I hope you can help me.

I put the letter Ç in capital letters in the Title and caption of my Rich Text, but it does not appear on the website as it should! this is serious!
I had put the one below with a capital ç, but as it is a caption I didn’t mind leaving it lowercase, but the title has to be capitalized, but there can’t be a huge error like that on my website.

Waiting for someone to help. Thank you very much for your attention and I hope my problem is resolved.

Hi @PedroPrado This is usually because your font does not support this character. You can change to another font that supports this character.

Best regards,
