Hello,
I have run into a bit of an issue with shipping rates.
We are on a Shopify Plus plan and receive discounted shipping rates through Shopify.
After reviewing our shipping reports I have found that there has been a discrepancy of over 1200 USD in one month between what we have received from customers for shipping and what we have been charged by our 3PL fulfillment.
This is for UPS only and is only relevant to our customers outside of USA, Canada, UK, SA etc
The only reasoning for this is that our 3PL is still receiving carrier rates and not our discounted rates. The 3PL have their own fulfillment software so do not label direct out of Shopify.
We do not want to increase our handling fee as we do not want to deter our customers as shipping these days is already so high.
Has anyone else encountered this issue and what did you do to solve it? Would this just come down to our 3PL having to try and negotiate better rates with UPS to match what we receive from Shopify?
For the record, this is not the 3PL over charging us. This is just a question on how to pass on the savings.
Thank you in advance,
