Hoping someone might be able to help with this.
My products have an issue with the Google channel. Each product is showing the Google channel as not fully working (no green dot filled in) and is showing the below message:
Gtin is required for this product.
These are not custom products and I have added EAN barcodes on the product listings.
I’ve also exported and reimported a product spreadsheet adding the EAN barcode under the Google Shopping/MPN field, but still no luck.
I am able to edit these product on the Google Merchant centre but I was hoping theres’ a quicker, bulk way, to do this as I have over 2000 products to go over.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for the reply. The video seems to explain how to setup product identifier rules if you don’t have valid barcodes, however I do have valid barcodes for my products. Is there a way to submit these to Google merchant centre in bulk please?
Also, is there no way to fix this in Shopify itself? Do you know if this is a known Shopify bug? When contacting Google, they recommend contacting Shopify to fix the feed.

The issue is that the shopify app is bugged for more than a year now, barcodes can not be submitted for a long time. And shopify is no longer going to update it, because Google has taken over the development starting in September 2022 using a new app.
For now, I recommend you use a dedicated app that can submit all this info without any issues. Here is the app I recommend: https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds
