How to search for last month's sales payout

I can retrieve the sales amount (net sales) from the 1st to the last day of last month, but I don’t know how to retrieve the payout for this sales amount.

This is because the payout timing varies for each order.

Does anyone know how to retrieve and verify the payout amount for monthly sales in bulk?

Hi @wealthlly! To retrieve the payout amounts for a specific month in bulk, here’s what you can do:

1. Go to: Report → Payouts over time

Here you can filter payouts by date range, such as the 1st to the last day of the month. This will show you exactly how much Shopify deposited into your bank during that time.

2. Export the payout report

Click Export, and Shopify will generate a CSV that includes:

  • Payout date
  • Amount paid

This gives you the full payout total for that month, regardless of when the orders were placed.

This is what I want.

For example, orders placed from November 1st to 30th naturally have different payout dates.

I want to check the payout amount for orders that occurred in November.

Utilize the Finance reports to associate orders with their payout IDs, then export the Payouts report and apply the date range filter. Check each order’s payout reference to join them by month. This way, you can reconcile your monthly sales to what was actually deposited without having to chase payout timing in your workflow.

Shopify does not provide sales and payouts together in a single report. To match payouts with their corresponding sales and orders, you need to export multiple reports manually. First, go to Settings → Payments → Shopify Payments and export the payouts report. This report gives you a breakdown of payouts along with transaction details, order IDs, and order names. Next, go to Analytics → Sales over time, select a date range longer than the payouts report, and export the sales data.

Once you have both reports, you can use the order ID to match and reconcile payouts with sales.
