How to select images from shopify customization admin area using image name

While am using shopify admin dashboard for customization. There are lot of options but there is no options to select images used on their names.

For example am using a section that 's type as image, in that section i need to select some image to display, in this situation every time i need to scroll down to select a particular image.

Here i have attached 2 files for reference, One is library section (there is no filter option) another one is free images section (is there filter option).

Hi @firstideasoft ,

I’m not sure I’ve entirely understood the question, but I gather that there may be some confusion around using images in the theme editor.

When you click “Library” this will provide you with images that you yourself have uploaded to the store, as well as offers the means to upload images from the current device.

Our software therefore cannot filter those images and cannot perform searches on them, as they originated from outside our system.

The search function is available with our free images because we are searching our own repository of images. We can search those images because we ourselves uploaded them.

I hope this helps clarify things. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

@Andrew_8 I think what they mean is can we PLEASE search our own images by file name. This would make my life SOOO MUCH easier - otherwise the only way to find older images is to scroll and scroll and load and load… It would just be nice to have a search option on images that at least indexes the file name.

That makes a lot of sense and is a very good idea. I’ll be sure to pass that request on internally to our developers. In the meantime, how is your store customization going otherwise?

Hello Andrew. This function is quite important, I changed the theme and to locate each image again is too tedious, I need to scroll and scroll…

I appreciate that and rest assured I’ve passed that feedback on. In the meantime, for future reference, if you duplicate or back up your theme then you can simply upload that theme and it will recall all the images where they were originally placed in your theme settings.
