I am in this situation where i have just one product out of 8 that can ship worldwide. The other products only ships to US.
I want to make that certain product availible to ship worldwide - meaning the customers can choose between the list of all countries at checkout.
And for the other products just United States as the zone option at checkout.
I tried making zones and all that.
It resulted with the checkout-zone-option either making all zones(worldwide) available for all the products or only United states for all product.
I can’t get it to make a custom shipping-zone for the certain product
I hope it makes sense.
It would be a bummer if the customers entered all the information and then end up with this result after choosing their country which my supplier doesn’t ship to.
I can definitely appreciate the value of having those different options made available to your customers along with clear communication of that too.
You are correct that if you have a product on your store that ships worldwide, then customers will be able to choose all countries, etc, even if some of the products in their cart aren’t eligible for that.
I would recommend setting up clearer information for your customers so that they know what to expect at the checkout. You can also edit that message you showed in your screenshot so that customers are aware that one product is the only one that ships worldwide.
To edit that messaging, and other precreated messages on your theme file, please go to Online Store > Theme > Edit Language, to replace the text with something that is better suited for your store.
