I have a client that is using the “Taste” theme. They want to set a minimum of either 5 products (SKUs) in the cart or a value of £27.50, before a customer can checkout, and of course, want a message to show so they know why they cant check out. (I think I can do the message bit through Preferences> Language etc.!)
I 'm using the Bundle Builder app on the store, but customers can order outside of this and they want these minimums set? Any ideas please
Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!
I understand you have a client that wants to set a minimum purchase quantity or amount value before a customer can checkout as well as displaying these requirements for the customers. While you can add your own message through the Language editor or by editing the theme, using a third-party app, like Order Limits (MinMaxify), will be able to handle both requirements and potentially provide further value for your client. For example, the app allows you to set different limits for each product and display the requirements accordingly to the customers based on the product they are viewing.
That being said, if setting different limits on products wasn’t something that your client thought of, then this could be something that they should be aware of as it could be used for strategizing their sales. If you need any assistance with this app, the app developer is also available to assist you or your client - simply reach out to them directly through the contact information found in the Support section of their app’s page.
I’d love to hear more about your client’s business! What kinds of products do they sell? Do they often need to set minimum purchase quantities or amounts?
What you ask is a common requirement for custom bundles. The merchant wants to offer items in a set but they cannot be purchased individually.
The bundle apps can only offer the set feature. If you want to disable individual purchases, you can change the add to cart button on the individual product pages, e.g. disable the button and change the text to sold out, or redirect the customers to the bundle page when the button is clicked.
