how to set up shop on instagram without FB channel

Hi Community,

I am wondering if anyone knows how to set up Instagram shopping without setting up an FB page.

We only want to set it up on IG, not FB store/ page. The latest app seems to mandate us to connect a FB page at the beginning of the integration process.

It would be much appreciated of your advice.

By using the Instagram Shopping feature in Facebook and Instagram by Meta. Instagram Shopping creates a shop on your Instagram profile and lets you tag your products in posts and stories. Then select View on Website to make a purchase on your online store.

Step 1: Set up Facebook channel in your Shopify store.
Step 2: Create an Instagram business profile.
Step 3: Turn on Instagram Shopify and put your products up for sale.

Step 4: Add products to your Instagram posts.
Step 5: Create Instagram Stories.

My question is I don’t want to set up FB. Is there a way to set up only on
Instagram without FB?

did you ever figure this out? we don’t have fb but do have ig. this process is very frustrating.
