How to set up specific shipping rates for different product groups?

Hi,

I’m trying to set up shipping rates but can’t seem to find the right way to do it.

I’ve got only two different product groups (A & B) and, based on whats in the cart at checkout, customer should be able to choose from the following shipping options:

  • group A products in the cart : option 1 - Free standard shipping / option 2 - Express shipping at 5,99€ / option 3 - Free express shipping over 35,00€ spent.
  • group B products in the cart: option 1 - Express shipping at 5,99€ / option 2 - Free express shipping over 35,00€ spent.
  • combination of products in group A with at least one product in group B: same rates as group B products above.

Is there a way to set this up without relying on an app? Appreciate your help with this one.

Hi Denise,

For this to work you will actually need to create a couple of Shipping profiles in the admin. You can go to “Settings” > “Shipping and delivery” and there you will be able to create your custom profiles. Make a profile per group, add the products and the shipping cost to that group and the rest should go automatticly.
