How to setup an account without a SSN?

Hello Shopify Community,

I am the sole owner of a company based in the United States, in Wyoming. Recently, I have immigrated to Canada. I am encountering an issue while setting up my Shopify account.

Regarding the company information, such as legal name, address, phone number, and EIN, I have provided all necessary details accurately. However, when it comes to entering my personal information, I am being prompted to provide a 9-digit SSN (Social Security Number). As a new immigrant in Canada, I do not yet have an SSN. Instead, I possess an 8-digit IUC (Individual Client Unique Identifier), which is unique to newcomers in Canada.

I am at a loss on how to proceed with this requirement from Shopify. Could you please advise if there is an alternative I can provide given my specific situation as a new immigrant in Canada?

I thank you for your response. Unfortunately, it appears that Shopify no longer has customer service per se; the available resources are a chatbot and assistance from the Shopify community. Nonetheless, I appreciate your reply
