How to show a discount on the home page/collection page

Hello,

I start my season sale in a few days and want to show the discounts. However, if I change the price below compare price it will only show it on product level and not on the home page/ collection page level.

I basically want to do it like H&M or Mango. Any ideas? I am using brooklyn.

Ideally, I would also like to show the percentage discount (so Product x is 50% off)

I would like to make a new collection which is called “Season Sale” in your store.

Because one product can have more than one collections.

For example, you can make a season sale menu and select the season sale collection together.

I think that’s the best way to manage the sale products in Shopify like almost people use this way.

And to show the product discount, you can put the regular and sale price in the product.

There are some price filed like “price” and “compare at price” in the product admin page.

Shopify will show the price discount rate from the quick view and product detail pages.

Good luck!

Hello, @bohobabes .

Elias here with Shopify Support. Thank you for reaching out.

The Brooklyn theme does come with a sale badge that shows the dollar amount off. Nevertheless, if you’d like to change this to a slashed out pricing and show this on the product pages, then this is something that our Theme Support team can help with exploring. Our Theme Support team may also be able to help you change the discount from dollar amount to percentage. However, while we’re not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community at this time, our Support team would be happy to continue assisting you with a customization request through live chat, email, or callback. Please visit the Shopify Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request.

That being said, with the launch of Online store 2.0, all of our themes are now more customizable than ever. It may also be worthwhile taking a look another look at our free themes, and try one that comes built-in with the slashed out sale price as well.

I’d love to know if this helps point you in the right direction or provides you with an alternative solution. Keep me posted!

As I said it needs to be shown on the home page/landing page not only on the product page (like the h&M and mango website).

Is there any possibility?

Hi.

So make the new collection and go to the admin custom store page and select collection with the new collection. There should be some collection list at the left side.

After then you can see your landing and main page with the sale products.

Good Luck

yes, but then they are only shown as “the dress costs 59.90” instead of 69.90.

You don’t see that they are on sale unless you go to the product page.

Hey, @bohobabes .

Thank you for following up!

You can request to have the slashed out pricing appear on the homepage/landing pages, and our Theme Support team can help you explore this customization. Nevertheless, I’d recommend providing the details to our Support team so they can include it in the customization request to our Theme Support. If your store is subscribed to a plan, you can use the complimentary design time included with your subscription on customizing your theme. While our Theme Support can assist you with a number of customizations, there is a short list of unsupported customizations outlined on our design policy for referencing.

Did you get a chance to reach out to our Support team through the Shopify Help Center?

Hi folks, I developed an app that helps merchants accomplish something similar to what you are describing. I understand that adding compare at prices to all of your products will be very cumbersome but using something like coupon discounts will provide more flexibility.

My app Codeboost will allow you to display badges and messages above eligible products in the collections page, product page and cart page. Additionally you can only show these promotions selectively and privately to specific customers!

Hopefully this helps!
