How to show related product recommendations on the cart page?

My goal is to showcase a suggested product on the cart page that correlates with the items currently in the cart. For instance, if my cart contains leggings, I aim to exhibit t-shirts. I’ve established a collection for these specific products, and now I need to implement a mechanism to verify when to display the recommended product

My recommendation would be to consider using our Smart Upsell App, which includes a Cart upsell/ recommend product feature. Additionally, another effective strategy would be to utilize Post Purchase upsell.

As you see, this can be achieved via an app, and there are loads of options in the app store! I just wanted to add a bit of advice when it comes to dealing with apps as you’ve been provided quite a few to choose from.

  • Check reviews - Make sure when deciding on an app you review merchant reviews. This could bring to light some issues that could affect you, or prevent the app from meeting your needs.
  • Utilize free trials - Most apps provide free trials. Make sure to utilize this to the fullest by trying multiple apps before deciding on one!
  • Check prices - Some apps advertise they are free when they are only free on development plans or trial plans. Make sure to review the subscription prices before committing.
