How to solve issues connecting Facebook shop to Shopify?

Hi

I have been trying to create a Facebook shop, however after following the guidance both on the internet and Youtube, I get to the stage where I am asked to select a third party platform, and I select Shopify, which then takes me to my Shopify website. I then follow the instructions to connect Shopify to Facebook and Instagram but get the following messages.

INSTAGRAM

These assets are already linked to a shop. As you don’t have permission to edit the catalogue connected to this shop, a Business Manager admin must assign you “Manage catalogue” permissions to continue’.

FACEBOOK

These assets are already linked to a shop. As you don’t have permission to edit the catalogue connected to this shop, a Business Manager admin must assign you “Manage catalogue” permissions to continue.

To be clear, I have a Facebook Business account, and I am the only person with full permisions on everything.

I have been working on this now for 3 weeks and just keep coming back to the same problem. Any help would be appreciated please.

Hey!

First thing you want to do is head to your business.facebook page and click on users>people and your name (or the person who is looking after it)
then click on Assign assets and under Catalogues click on your business page and then full control and hit save

Once you go back into Shopify, it should allow you to connect it again :slightly_smiling_face:
