Hi guys,
I want to have affiliates promote my products by setting them up their own 10% off code, but I don’t want someone to be able to use, for instance, 5 separate codes at checkout to get 5x 10% off.
How can I do that but still have a single affiliate code work with our standard 10% off code for first time buyers?
To recap - We’re happy to have an affiliate code combine with our first time buyer discount code, but we don’t want an affiliate code to be able to combine with another affiliate code.
Any help will massively appreciated so thank you in advance!
Hi @richard-mp
You can achieve this by setting up discount combination rules in your e-commerce platform. Here are a few ways to do it, depending on what you’re using:
Shopify
If you’re using Shopify, go to Discounts > Create Discount and check the “Combinations” settings.
Allow the affiliate code to stack with your first-time buyer discount but disable stacking with other affiliate codes.
Alternatively, use an app like “Automatic Discounts & Gift” to manage advanced discount rules.
Hi @Dotsquares
I’m just using the Shopify discounts section at present
How do I find the combinations settings? When I’m in discounts, it only provides me with 3 options:
-
product discounts
-
order discounts
-
shipping discounts
When I combine it (TEST10) with order discounts, it includes the other test 10% code (MPEXTRA10) that I’m pretending is another affiliate, and I can’t find any way of excluding that from the list so that I’m only left with the new order discount for it to combine with (WELCOME10)
