I’m building a coming soon website for my business. I want to add an email input field that visitors can fill out to receive an email announcement about our going live.
Is there a way to store this list of emails on the Shopify platform? I don’t want to use an email service for now.

Yes, this is absolutely possible!
If you’re still setting up your Shopify store, you can lock it for visitors and add an email/newsletter subscription box on your landing page to start collecting emails. Shopify stores these emails under Customers > Email subscribers, so you can access them later.
Once you officially launch, you can use Shopify Email to send out a marketing email—Shopify allows free emails up to a certain limit per month.
