How to take search function from home page and apply it to other pages, also removing white space.

I like how search is set up on this home page but can anyone direct me to how to also have the same style of search on my other webpages?

I also have white space at the top of the page on my header. Any ways to extend my image over that or remove the white space?

edit: Is there a simple way to edit the header of different pages separately? I need the margins different for each page for the format to look good.
