We are in the process of a merger and will therefore have to move all our system to a new company name. Because of this all operations will have to be paused for a few days this includes the Shopify store and the ability to take in new orders until everything is up and running in the new company name
What is the easiest way to just have the store be a front page screen with a short message and not have people navigate anywhere else? Is there an App for this for instance

This is definitely very doable, and the good news is you don’t need a third party app or anything! The easiest way to achieve this would be to use our Password Page feature.
What this means is that when a customer accesses your store, they will come to a landing page with a message showing there of your choice like “We will be back in a few days” or whatever message you choose. Customers will not have access to place orders etc unless they have the password which you have chosen. This would certainly be the simplest and fastest way to achieve what you are looking for! This page walks through full instructions on how to set this up, and how to add your message etc.
